I had an issue with ETrade a couple of weeks ago that cost me dearly. As usual E*trade was running very slow. I was tring to get an order executed as prices were going up. E*Trade was not executing and occasionally I would get an Insufficient funds message. So I would cancel the order check the account - Plenty of funds... Put in another order ... Well I ended up putting in 2 orders - I'm guessing one of the orders I canceled was already executed but there servers were so slow in notifying me I didn't get a notice. Anyway I had sold off one position at a profit then the stock dropped about 30% and I was notified by Etrade that they were calling my second transaction back. Had I known I even had them I'd sold out at a profit with the other shares but as it was I ate it. Not a happy camper.
