Phony may be a strong word Richard. What I am saying is that subcriber churn made the amortization silly. AOL recognized this to some degree when they capitulated and began expensing the costs.

On the pricing plan they botched it from a customer service point of view -- mandatory (temporarily) with all the state AG's looking into it and so forth. Smells like reacting not planning to me. Others may disagree.

No other complaints about management. They may be doing the best they can given the circumstances. I'd like to see more real disclosure on number of subscribers and how long they are keeping them on average. Real disclosure of this info would puncture the current bubble I think.
