Off Topic Actually the fireplace is existing. I did move the face out 10 in with concrete block and poured a beam over the block. Fourteen bags of cement lugged from Home Depot two bags at a time in my car. I plan on a marble face and then some carved black walnut around the marble. The mantle is 2 in Bolivian rosewood. The bookcase/display case to the side is cherry. I have yet to carve the corbels under the mantel...that'll take some more time. It would be nice if I could get a computer to do it for me. I do keep up with the thread..although I have been spending quite a bit of Internet time checking out CNC (computer numeric control) routers. With all of the quality posting it is difficult to find a place for my two cents...although I see the backup issue is back:) Zeuspaul
