Fred, Then came the Atom bomb........ I don't think this has arrived yet. So DownSouth, Gates may have a warehouse full of firebombs and more bombers than all the rest of the competition, but these are old weapons and he's already on trial for these tactics. I'll hold my reflexive response in honor of Thanksgiving, but it's interesting that AOL, NSCP, SUNW, and IBM are basically making one large trust deal with the buyout of Netscape. If you look at the details, that's really what's happening. I'd say that NOISE has been firebombing Microsoft for some time now. Funny how tactics that really do seem to violate antitrust laws, such as IBM's executives putting resources towards collusion between all of their partners to focus on harming Microsoft (see recent ZDNet article on facts in the trial) are dismissed so casually. I agree with you that the market should decide. I think the only danger to Microsoft long-term is if the market is not afforded that choice due to government intervention and politically powerful trusts. Happy Thanksgiving, Mike
