Didax Stock Surges After It Unveils Music Web Site
Didax Inc. Chantilly, Va., soared 180% Wednesday after the operator of the Christian Community Network Internet site unveiled a Web site that will sell Christian music. Shares Didax rose $6.75 to close at $10.50 on Nasdaq Stock Market volume of 912,000 shares. Average daily turnover is 28,475 shares. The stock's previous 52-week high was $8, established April 22. The new site, The Music Channel, includes radio, music sampling, live and recorded events and an online store for purchasing. Over the last four quarters, the company has lost $4.4 million on revenue of $580,000.
Didax, a Chantilly, Va., concern that developed the Christian Community Network, an interactive Web site that provides content for the Christian community, and which trades under the symbol AMEN, almost tripled its market value, shooting higher by 6 3/4 to 10 1/2. Didax unveiled Music Channel, a Christian music Web site, in Nashville, Tenn., on Monday.
