Sean Why would you need such a thing. WHy turn the computer off at all???? I've gotten into a routine with my current machine with I feel comfortable and a little more protected from the unexpected. I shutdown the machine two or three times a week (overnite) to restart/reset my configurations the following morning. Upon restarting I have a couple of maintence uttilities set to slow scan the HDD for a variety of possibly developing problems. I could set these utilities to scan anytime but the addition a restart appears to be beneficial. I felt that being able to continue this ritual with the added ability to automatically come back to my usual screens would be nice. I agree that suspend to disk appears iffy...... its not the main reason for choosing the board though. As you know, I'm not an expert in these matters and my restart & scan ritual may very well be a false security blanket. Clarence
