peter
i also lucked out
with onsale
bought $5K worth in 20's
a few weeks ago
now it is at 99
this my friend is speculation
i am not that smart
there is a rally based on hype
and expectations--no other reason
yes tulips have value--long term
but there can be tulipmania

1/3 of my portfolio is in internet
so i believe in it big time
but at some point it will be earnings driven
just like computer hardware, telecos, etc.
then we will see these stocks behave more rationally
look at the chart of aol for example
being more earnings driven--shows great fundamentals
but it was not a moon shot
although i am benefiting from this rally greatly
and believe the net will be a combo of
telephone and TV
this extra rally occurred because most of us
hyped these stocks (albeit subconsciously)
while wolfing down the stuffing and pumpkin pie

my only problem is that i do not know
when to skim the excess off the top

next week, if this continues
i will sell 1/3 off the top
of the moonshots and hold the rest long term
