Does anyone here know of a site where how to enter option trades, in particular those involving written calls, is illustrated? I need to know what is the proper way to record the transaction of the underlying stock and its written options with regard to - Date purchase (if written call) - Date sold (is it the date the option is written) - Cost basis of the stock that were called - Cost basis of the stock that were called TIA.
