Newbridge had a good week, but how about those crazy Internet stocks. ONSL is up about $35 today and something called Books-a-Million is going berserk. Then there is Biomira, the Canadian biotech that shot up from $2 to $17 on Nasdaq, but did not open on Toronto. Nasdaq halts the stock and when it reopens, it tanks down to $4 1/2. All this because someone recommended the stock on a TV program.

That puts the rise in Newbridge in perspective.
