I think this view from the nasdaqtrader.com site is also interesting. In their glossary they define "blocks" as trades of 10,000 or more shares. On this view all the ECNs and Ms fall out and it is being done by Non-registered market makers:

It looks like the really interesting data is in their proprietary section, but this site has a wealth of information. For example, there was a rumor about UPC-71 restriction earlier this year. Since then, I have asked just about everyone I correspond with and my broker about this rule and nobody knew what it was. You can find the definition on the nasdaqtrader.com site as well as all of the trading information you need.
