AHHHH!!!! Just thought I would vent for all of us. Still having trouble getting the news. But was able to get Ashtons. Since I have trouble cutting and pasting, I'll just regurjitate it. Ashton Mining of Canada January 14, 1997 Ashton Mining Reports State of Arkansas Reports Further Results from the Crater of Diamonds VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLOMBIA--The State of Arkansas has reported the third set of results of diamond sorting from its testing programon the Crater of Diamonds near Murfreesboro, Arkansas. The recent results are from five trenches of the lamproite pipe. Three stones with an aggregate weight of 0.228 carat were recovered from a combined sample of2547 tons. This work brings the total lamproite treated to a total of 7139 tons. This material contained 160 stones weighing 36.3 carats, for an average indicated content of 0.5 carat per 100 tons. These results to date fall short of the diamond content which would be required to support a commercial mining operation. The sampling program is continuing to test remaining portions of the pipe, and will be complete by mid to late February. Finally got my Fax back up, just received the news. It is almost the same as Ashtons but with a small twist, it includes individusl trench results. Trench 3a Total carats 0.125 no. of stones recovered 2 Trench 3b 00000000 Trench 5 000000000 Trench 6 Total carats 0.103 no. of stones 1 Trench 9 That's right 00000 It also contained your regular BS. As far as I know Star will resume trading tomorrow. But unlike everybody else, I will wait until I see the drill results before turning my shares into wallpaper. It could still go the other way. If anybody else has comments please post, it will help in the healing process. Regards Nathan
