There are two reasons why I believe the contract is relatively small:

1) The China Post is an enterprise, not a service provider.

2) The CP chose the BSTDX9000, not the CBX500 to feed their core of Newbridge switches. If this network was to be the mother of all networks, or was intended to scale to that size, they would have chosen the CBX500.

I would think a dozen or so 36170's placed in 4 or 5 cities would be enough to switch the data traffic fed from 100 or so BSTDX9000's distributed in 30 cities. I think (for Daniel--IMHO) the value of the contract to NN is about $10M. But of course, since the value of the deal has not been disclosed and Newbridge has an "exclusive" supplier role for the backbone, the perceived value is conveniently up to everyone's imagination.
