Hans: Very Interesting Post! Thanks much.

I got on ft.com and read the articles you mentioned. IBM is clearly developing a system for sale to all the record co.'s for their use in selling secure digitized music over the net. Expect it will be individually available, not an industry sales tool, once developed and standardized to satisfaction of all concerned.

This is clearly one of the future applications that DRIV would look forward to participating in. Question is whether this activity as to DRIV would be foreclosed by this collaboration. My guess is that DRIV is already into the research side of this application, and may have its own technology to bring to bear re security, billing, etc. Problem is that this is potentially such a huge application and one that is already seen as risky by record industry. If only one system is to be approved by them, IBM, or AT&T, are dominant competitors. But, stay tuned, this may be so big that smaller operations with good track records and closely related technologies will play a role. Who better than DRIV??!!

Thanks again for the informative post.

David
