Very interesting!

PUMA reports a big disappointment in both revenues (decline) and eps (loss even greater than expected) yet hardly a single soul sells!!! Volume very low and price stable. Is this the bottom? Is all the bad news behind us? Here's hoping so - i'm staying the course.....

Here's the highlights from Brad Rowe.....

"This restructuring should reduce both total and percentage R&D spending during the second half of the current fiscal year by
eliminating the redundant personnel and overhead of a bi-coastal development organization. We'll still produce the next generation of industry-leading products, but with far fewer people.''

Puma expects to ship the first version of Intellisync Anywhereâ„¢, its enterprise software product, in the first calendar quarter of 1999. This first version will support PalmPilot to Microsoft Exchange
synchronization and is currently in beta testing with a number of well-known US companies. Intellisync Anywhere with support for Lotus Notes and Windows CE devices is expected in the spring.

Rowe continued, ''Intellisync Anywhere will revolutionize the way Fortune 1000 corporations view handheld devices. No solution to date has enabled thousands of employees, scattered around the world,
carrying handheld devices to connect to multiple Exchange servers to retrieve email, calendar, contact and other mission-critical data with complete security controlled by their corporate IT department. This is
precisely what our new product can do. I believe Intellisync Anywhere will accelerate the trend toward handheld mobile computing.''

Last chance saloon???
