Might I suggest if you are traveling, getting a layover in Boise and walk into any Burger King etc and ask about MU layoffs. You will find most of the minimum wage employees here used to work at MU. The layoffs were not due to upgrades in equipment but to non profitability of the business and need to cut back production. If you had seen the plant in the past, you could go by 24 hours a day and see full parking lots and all smoke stacks spewing even if it was 2 AM (when the bars close <g>). Now the only time there are signs old are the dayshift and this is onlyu a recent event. The night shifts are still bleak.

Maybe I should do the old crate check I read about a year ago where you go out and count the containers on the loading docks to get a count of production.
