Night Writer,

Microvision (MVIS) has at least five years before its VRD technology becomes mainstream if at all. If that were the extent of the story I wouldn't be invested in the company presently. Their technology is being developped under Dept of Defense grants and they currently have all three major branches of the military evaluating prototypes of their VRD systems. The Navy just recently declared the VRD technology as a baseline display technology. Expectations are that the company will be awarded contracts by the Army and Air Force for helmet mounted VRD systems for their helicopter and jet pilots within a year (customers with space considerations being a key market for the technology). As a single contract would probably amount to $25-50MM in revenues and currently the revenues of the company are 1/5th that, the upside is tremedous.

to the rest of the thread, sorry for the plug but I'm very happy with this company and Night Writer did ask about it.
