All excesses, particularly financial ones, will sooner or later resolve themselves.

Another of my favorite examples is WMT. WMT is one of only 20% of the S&P 500 stocks that has sequential, annual growth in revenue in EPS over the last 6 years. Obviously, an outstanding company.

But, if you had bought the stock in late 92 / early 93, it took you until 97 to get even. Perception had exceeded reality and it took a period of time for reality to catch up. It will happen again.
