xia: Thank you for the caution, but in a fast running market, up or down, even trailing stop losses may not work. The worse case may even be for a trailing stop that you get stopped out by a whipsaw, and as soon as you are stopped out, the stocks rebound. It's a double whammy.
Well, "mental" stop losses have worked for me for years, even in a fast moving market. The only time it has not, is when I have made the rare mistake of getting into a low volume stock.
I am not seeking a solution here, but just asking a technical question to test the minds of the brilliant few.
No brilliance here, but the answer was YES, IF.
