Yes, there is a reasonable explanation which is very common. The auditors may have returned a qualified audit, which simply means that there were some pieces of the audit that they (BDOS) either couldn't or wouldn't sign off on. This is not uncommon, even for very large companies. The company might have responded by trying to clear whatever points were qualified, again not uncommon. It would be fruitless to speculate just which items may have been qualified, because that can run the gamut from something fairly insignificant to something very major.
