I didnt say that MSFT wants to take over the world. thats too small an ambition for Mr. Gates. I said MSFT want to dominate the Universe. They will already dominate the world by 2002.

As for your opinion that the industry is not ganging up on MSFT - I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. If you honestly feel that compnaies like IBM, MSFT, ORCL, NSCP, SUNW, Caldera, Corel, etc. etc. etc. feel that MSFT is good for the industry and they are more than happy to see MSFT's practices continue, then there is not much I can say to convince you. We must be living in completely different and parralel worlds.

We'll see how much marketshare MSFT will have once MSFt actually puts out an OS that MSFT's competitors can actually start slamming. MSFT is so good at comparing their "soon to be released" next version to a competitors current code. I know for a fact that NOVL cant wait for MSFT to release Active Directory! Because they will be finally showing how immature A.D. is to NDS.

MSFT cant hide behind vapour-ware forever. And your dreaming if you think that MSFT's competitors are dreading the arrival of NT. At Comdex there was a clear sign that the IT Customer is tired of waiting for MSFT promises. Many IT customers have openly said that NDS is getting the Mindshare in the industry that makes them feel that NOVL will survive and its time to take NOVL products serious again.

So we'll see how well MSFT can do in the future based on the fact that they cant come close to releasing critical products to market on-time! FAR FROM IT.

Time will tell, now wont it.

Cheers DownSouth,

Toy
