"I think we accept the fact that these huge oil mergers are quite bearish short-term. They will trigger cuts in capital spending beyond those mandated by low oil prices alone." George and Thread, I've heard this before, but have yet to hear, "Why?" The need to hire the drillers, when the companies operated alone, does not change the day they decide to merge? Any reasoning behind the statement would be appreciated. Thanks, MikeM(From Florida)
