Vepoc and Pruguy,

Both technical analysis and fundamental analysis are totally subjective.

I've never cared for Dorsey Wright's analysis and today I really think he was smokin' something - except for his comments on DELL. I believe he uses point and figure charting exclusively. I know very little about P&F except that it has something to do with plotting supply and demand on a graph. On the surface it would seem to be a logical way to assess a situation, but maybe he's not putting his Xs and Os in the right squares. They used to have a P&F analyst on Squawk sometimes named Louise Yamato. She made some better calls, but she dealt more with sector analysis.

I agree with you that a lot of TA is mumbo-jumbo - look at Jerry Favors. I have no idea what he's talking about. IMO about 30% of what most technical analysts say makes some kind of sense and the other 70% is garbage. But, you know I could say the same thing about the fundamental analysts - The economic crisis is over. The economic crisis is just starting. PC sales are slowing. PC sales are growing. CPQ's great. CPQ sucks. And the economists . . . .
