FROM THE NATIONAL POST SATURDAY NOV 28TH EDITION.

" Paul Godin, Bid.com's chief executive, said last week the company had received an unsolicited invitation from Nasdaq to explore the possibility of listing on the exchange. He said yesterday he feels Nasdaq has an eye to encouraging IPOs from rising stars in the internet sector and his company will consider seeking listing, probably at the end of first-quarter 1999. Mr. Godin said he did not want the company to be lost in the rush of IPOs expected at the start of the year. He said Bid.com has plenty of cash on hand from prior financing, but wants the profile a Nasdaq listing affords. "

This is retyped by me from the article as shown in the Investing section of the National Post...under Market Action.

I think that a couple of things are key here.....ONe...it was Yesterday he said this which means it is NEW news to the market as none of us thought that Bid.com was solicited BY NASDAQ !!!! Also, mentioning that they have plenty of cash is great....and shows that Bid.com does not NEED the market....the market WANTS Bid.com

My take anyway.
