The answer is in two parts. If I, the services company have a choice, I will choose ORCL. If I do not have a choice, I will work on whatever my customer wants me to.

You need to visit the ORCL web site and see what is going on. It is not as simple as you seem to believe. ORCL is redefining the DB platform in terms of the web and in terms of the RDBMS server platform. MSFT is way behind in ORCL's new game.
