>>Still, some believe the Ericsson equipment won't be as robust as Motorola's. While Nextel's service with Motorola offers instant group calling, some say Ericsson's equipment will take several seconds to set up.>>
Thanks Rube Goldberg.
Several seconds? I can set up 9-way caller conferencing right now within seconds with my long distance provider - I-Link - which utilizes voice over IP technology from Israel - long distance and local all at 4.9 cents per minute or fractions thereof as you build the conference from your Nextel phone. The quality is "studio-like".
I've said this before, Nextel ought to buy this little outfit in Draper Utah. I'm not entirely pleased with the management of this company, but they have some of the biggest powerhouses in network marketing behind them.
Craig, come on man, get into this network marketing game. End all the crap with this bloated national sales force. Fold you existing reps in to the I-Link program - have your Nextlink and InterNext stuff tie right in. You need a network marketing component and these guys are pretty damn good.
Also, Craig - and Paul and Dan and others at Nextel corporate - you better begin the process of creating "packages" now - NOT later. Nextel is a one-horse package. This package is going to get swallowed up by someone before too long who sees the same huge synergies I do: bundled wireless, ISP, Long distance with a whole range of other products and services. Let the forces of network marketing design and build this new "internet marketplace" that Nextel and all of your other companies can fold right into.
Nextel clients are incredibly loyal to the technology - despite problems, disruptions and delays. The network will get better and better. But you need to hit the governor on Stage 2 in your business growth. I sense your Nextel reps are worn out for many are hopping to "indirects" where they can go after these bundles RIGHT NOW.
This is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater...... Great reps are leaving so they can sell Nextel AND so many other services on "wraps".
Dan, Craig, Paul - wake up brothers. Don't let DC - Washington DC - distract you from this new market that's just waiting for you to claim. Buy I-Link and get this show on the road!!! Now back to the central point of this message.......
Why do I need Ericsson's RG solution? Sounds like these guys are chasing their tails with the same IP stuff that's already out there.
This IP stuff is no threat to Nextel. It still takes time and patience - which is money. Immediacy is what Nextel sells better than anyone in the digital wireless world right now.
Wall Street is still so very confused on this baby. When all the wool and blinders finally come off this stock will be well past $40.
Hope all had a very Happy Thanksgiving! |
