This is not, IMO, a "game" stock that pays for promotion like BNTI. I like to gamble on stocks like BNTI from time to time, but my REAL money does not go into them. The internet is here, and BII.TO has laid their groundwork carefully. IMO, this is an investment stock, not a "runner and bail". There are many areas of the internet. Auctions are simply one, and Bid.COM WILL take the lead here. They will also expand to cable, IMO, and several other areas. Some other stocks have great technology (we've gambled on a few of these), but Bid.Com also has the management, the connections, the right areas, the press, and the lead. I think this will break out and not look back. Some of the BB internet stocks will run and turn around. Bid.Com is going to NASD. I guess I don't want to "play" as much in my old age. I feel good about this one 5 years from now from everything I have seen so far. There will be other winners (Infospace IPO coming - I hope to be big in this, I like music things -- CDNW, CUST (great idea!), I also like PILT & EDFY & USAI, I gamble on some smaller ones for the tech only -- SNMM, then of course I have a ton in NRT.V because I really believe in their drugs. Have I given the impression that I like Bid.Com? GOOD. Next week should be great. If they sign a deal in Cable ink, it will be unbelievable.

ps all you AOL subscribers send an email to their PR and tell them they need to up the ante in telling their customers about Bid.Com so they can intercept the business from the other auction sites early on. Tell them they have a gold mine, they need to start loading the donkeys. |
