VIA and Ali are good at copying chipsets but when they have to develop their own, it takes a few revisions before they can get it right." A chipset for the K7 will likely need leading edge process technology to meet the proposed performance goals. If AMD spins their own chipset, it will eat up valuable capacity. EP
