Jeff...for e-commerce to work the back end has to be able to communicate with the storefront, and VETX (OTC BB $1.50) has the products that allow that to happen. They just released a new middleware solution for e-commerce called 'evolve', written in XML. I think the language here is significant.
BridgeNet and Netweave are two other middleware products...Netweave rev last year grew from $100k to almost $1m and BridgeNet sales were up about 25%. All products are designed to allow the front end to communicate w/the customer's legacy systems.
VETX finished the year in July w/record backlog of $4.5m, which included a large order from Bell Atlantic for data collection devices.
Missed in all the Inet/e-commerce buzz is the necessity of middleware solutions so all kinds of different systems from web sites can communicate w/the client/customer/company's legacy systems...and vice-versa.
