no you are smart guy to ask this question. dtc sheet is only obtained by company. it will show for example first ALL TRADES in dctc, then it will show inventory of stock movement in relation to trades in dctc market. difference between the 2 is the 'naked' short position in dctc market. so for example say john doe buy 5000 share from charles schwab who wholesale through meyerson. dtc sheet will show street stock move from meyerson inventory @ dtc to chareles schwab to support trade. when there is no movement of inventory corresponding to trade it is naked sell. it is simple matter to see who is naked short from this dtc sheet. only co. can get dtc sheet. so if you call company to question naked short position refer to dtc sheet. maybe someone at company can inform shareholders of short in dctc.
