You should take James Carvilles place...<G> ----- I play around with Audio files quite a bit and YES...the Celeron/Pentium II is the clear choice because audio encoding (Mpeg, ADPCM etc.)and file manipulation are very FPU intensive...probably the most FPU intensive apps I've used. Some sound editor software companies have said they are interested in optomizing for 3DNOW! but as of now the raw FPU power of the Celerons and Pentium IIs is the way to go for these apps...one good reason to get a Celeron...the main reason I'm now building a new Celeron system... At least until we see the K7...
