My US Robotics (ta-da) 56K modem is soooo slooooooow. I want speed and I WANT it NOW!!!! I don't care how the DSL I get it. David, do you have any data on how many major cities have DSL and ISPs that support it? I believe that the ramp up to DSL could happen quite explosively. If it is available to say 25% of the US right now, all it needs is a buzz. Right now I'm trying to get DSL and the only thing stopping me is the phone company. They take about 2 weeks to test the line for compatibility. I should find out how they check it and see if its really that difficult or if they (as a monopoly) are just taking their time. In my area, (Portland, Oregon) there were about 300 on the waiting list when I applied. As for COMS, I'm still smarting from my last loss when the stock tanked, so I'm pretty cautious about buying more. Regards ...
