What is my opinion of the article by Israel Shahak? Well, first, I did a little digging, and quickly discovered that Shahak is promoted by Idaho white separatist Michael Hoffman II. Here is a little blurb on Hoffman by Hatewatch:

Here are some FAQ's about the white separatist movement, as discussed by Hoffman:

Here is Shahak's discussion of the MYTH of the Holocaust:

I have LOTS of problems with the way that Zionists (I differentiate Zionists from Jews in general) have treated the Palestinians. However, to go from objective facts as reported by organizations like Amnesty International and other human rights groups and suddenly leap to the conclusion that the Holocaust did not happen and make Jews scapegoats for everything that is wrong in modern life, and advocate a white supremacist, pro-Christian ideology, I FIND EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE. And I am quite sure that all the people here who lost relatives in the Holocaust, or had family members who were tortured and starved but somehow survived, will find it even more offensive.

You and Shalom should be really ashamed of yourselves for exposing everyone here to such a hateful world view, and particularly for presenting it in the guise of scholarship. The fact that Shahak was a professor of organic chemistry does not make him any kind of historian, and I cannot even fathom his view of what happened in the camps. It is certainly a minority opinion, however.
