Theif Demo is Out

gamespot.com

I still think this will be the surprise hit of the season.
They should market this to Women/Girls as they enjoy a
Pacman-consuming/avoiding type of game, over the hack/slash
games we've seen till now. This game depends on you being
able to navigate in the shadows with stealth as your weapon.
You get to use Distracting flash/gas bombs, long reaching
bow/arrow, bludgeons to knock out, and swords to kill, only
if nessecery. You'll need to carry off victem bodys to the
darkest corners, so other guards won't find, and go on alert.
Graphics are pretty standard for a Quake2 like game, but the
Gameplay, strategic sound effects needed to hear, not just
see where your enemies are (they all sound like something out
of a British Montey Python episode) and AI make for a very
immersive and enjoyable game. Investors should be pleased,
while TR3's just more of the same, Theif may be the whole
new gaming experience you've been waiting for...
