NCII's patents don't mention compression very much and nobody responded to post 1591 (https://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=6508052} so, I did not have anything to say to ByteMate about compression rates. Except what Chet mentioned: 8bit at 8 kilohertz gets 18 minutes of compressed data per megabyte.

NCII's web page doesn't mention any details about compression either.
