Gigi.......... CHIR is still a separate Diagnostic company that has recovered somewhat from a yearly low around $13 and change. Chiron is still considered a Biotech leader today. I believe they were the first to develop the Hep B vaccine and cloned the Hep C genome over 10 years ago. At one time they had the Hepatitis market all to themselves. Just recently they took on Biomira Inc ..( BRA.TO ) as a partner in the development of a Breast Cancer Vaccine. The FDA has approved the vaccine for Phase III trials and the stock of Biomira made a quantum leap from $ 3.50 and closed Friday at $ 6.20.
