Matrox G200/ 450mhz oc'ers
Has anyone running the 300a @ 450mhz with a G200 Vid @ 2/3 FSB had this problem:

When my CPU is o/c to 450 MHz, I have tried to set the 'AGP/CLK' setting in my BH6 BIOS to 2/3 (that is,
100 x 2/3 = 66 MHz for the AGP bus, which is supposedly required for achieving AGP 2x). The problem with
this is that at the 2/3 setting (with CPU at 450), the G200 card becomes quite unstable, showing visual
artifacts (garbage) in 2-D at times, and frequently crashing when in 3-D mode (under Win98, using the
latest G200 drivers, v.4.26, and with DX6 installed).
However, if I set the AGP/CLK setting to 1/1 (that is, the speed of the AGP bus is 100 MHz) when my CPU
is o/c at 450, my G200 seems to run flawlessly, both in 2-D and 3-D... but only in AGP 1X! (N/B, I always
have my CPU core voltage at 2.1 V... upping it even as high as 2.3 seems to make no difference as far as
this AGP speed issue is concerned...)
I have tried testing a friend's G200 in my system at both the AGP/CLK settings of 2/3 and 1/1 with my
CPU at 450, but get the same results... no AGP 2x when o/c at 450 :(
For all non-graphical intensive operations, the computer at 450 MHz (with AGP/CLK set to 1/1) is
extremely stable. It's only this AGP 2x issue that is causing me grief.
Finally, if I run my Celeron 300A at its default speed of 300 (4.5x66) with AGP/CLK set to 1/1 (=66 MHz
AGP bus speed) I do get AGP 2x.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what my problem could be, and how I could possibly get the AGP 2x mode
to work with my CPU o/c to 450?

P.S. I have tried a G200 hack of putting a Registry setting "AGPFlags = -1" which I saw on the Matrox Users
Web site (www.matroxusers.com)... while that did force my system to AGP 2x while at 450, it was
extremely unstable and wasn't practical.

Followups to this post have indicated it being common to G200 oc'ers although more so amongst Socket 7 users. I was just wondering if the slot 1 users here have experienced this problem.
