Ed,

Why is this such a hard concept to grasp? The DOJ is taking MSFT to court for PAST WRONG DOINGS!!!!! This has absolutely nothing to do with current events Ed. Why do you and so many other Pro-MSFTer find this concept so hard to grasp?

The DOJ wouldnt care even if MSFT sold off its OS to SUN. MSFT is in front of the court for past wrong doings. (That sure doesnt mean that things have changed much - as much as you would like to believe that the NSCP/AOL thing has changed MSFT's monopoly status - MSFT still has a monopoly and will abuse that monopoly as soon as it sees a chance).

Its this willingness to re-abuse the anti-trust laws that the DOJ is attempting to remedy.

PS - contrary to your beliefs, the DOJ still has an excellent chance at winning this case. MSFT has a lot of catching up to do in the case if it has any chance of winning this thing.
