Absolutely and plainly summed up.

I got this post from G* yesterday:-

prodigy.excite.com

It concerns the development of a Chinese anti-satellite laser. I replied that I didn't find the news surprising in the least. The French already have the device and no doubt will use it in the future when they get into a situation where 'Europe must once again assert its rightful place in World events' and that will no doubt be in a situation where US vital interests are concerned.

This is the way they think. They learned from von Schlieffen twice in the last 80 or so years. Now they plan to resuscitate their losing civilization this time in the form of the EU putting forward the propaganda that their is some historical cohesive element that naturally binds the countries involved and that they have all in reality been waiting for this moment since the hapless Romans screwed up their society.

In reality this EU stuff is all about the French getting a big army again with big guns and a big economy to feed it and then no doubt swagering about with it to their financial gain. An integral part of that are the French anti-satellite and anit-missile systems. One day and that day may come sooner than we think they will offer protection to a country that is the enemy of the US. Then they will get a whole bunch of contracts for having been the local heros. Just watch.

We should take very very seriously next time a 'friend' doesn't support the US in any critical international arena. I can understand the Russians and the Chinese not supporting us but not friends. It leaves me very uncomfortable about buying their goods.

Best regards,

l
