SUNW has enjoyed a great run-up in the last few months after being pretty much flat for more than a year. IMO this is based on the perception that somehow SUNW is going to benefit from their Java advocacy, and some 'halo effect' from their position against MSFT. But SUNW does not have any way to benefit directly from internet activities, unless one assumes that sales of servers to internet companies will somehow fuel growth. I also do not see big revenue potential for the work they are doing with AOL since SUNW has no real capability in low cost consumer products, which is the likely hardware play out of the AOL deal.

Their workstation and midrange sales are under serious attack from wintel vendors. Their high end sales growth has maintained ASP and margin but SUNW does not have a sustainable advantage in that market, and their storage business is even more vulnerable. I think their stock price is not maintainable even at current levels.
