Zeuspaul, My recent purchases were a DELL 450 and a Compaq Armada 4120 notebook. I never use the software that is bundled with the system. Most of it old versions of software any ways. (or at least last years edition)

I like to do a complete re-install of the OS once I receive the computer to eliminate all the MS crap on the HD.

I was thinking very serious about building my own computer before I bought my Dell 450, but when I priced out the EXACT components, it was still a bit cheaper to buy it from Dell and receive the 3 year warranty.

Dell was very good to me last time around with a Dell 166, it was a little over a year old, I took out my CD-ROM and sold it to a friend, a 1-2 weeks later it failed. I told Dell the hole story, and they replaced it. How many companies would give that kind of service?
