JW i hope for you have a big hdd and the guy for whom your /msg
was directed too ...

your advice to dump <*.tmp,*.bak,cache,icache> etc. into recycle bin
sounds ok , but in windows reality you may end up with a big problem and/or not working computer at all ...

i don't know if you are aware that recycle bin has some limitations
---- the size of recycle bin is % setting and can be changed to what ever # of % you like ( i belive that a default is 5% of the drive size ) if you are after increase of the hdd capacity logical thing is to lower a space % for recycle bin but if you do that then you can't dump everything into recycle bin , the capacity is to small
AND WINDOWS DON'T TELL YOU THAT ...
that is the point where the witches circle closes on you -- more stuff you dump into full recycle bin , more stuff you are dumping into a cyber chimney with a good filling that nothing can happen because you have everything stored in recycle bin ...

trust me it is a very pain full experience to send something to recycle bin either on the purpose or by a mistake when the bin is full.
bin there, done that ... 8-))

just my 2 cents
