Dave:

I got the 1995 annual report from AFCX today, along with a reprint of an investment research piece dated December 23, 1996 from Tucker Anthony Equity Research. Some random thoughts:

AFCX does not splurge on flashy annual report paper with multicolored graphics and catchy buzzwords. The cover had a few colored charts, but the rest was all business: letter from the president & Form 10-K. I like a company that puts out cheap annual reports.

The Tucker Anthony report was very positive, citing full factory capacity and increasing margins. The names of the authors are William Becklean (617-725-2153) and Michael Whitney (617-725-2368). Since the report is less than a month old, you might want to get a copy.

According to T & A (what's in a name for "anal"ysts?), insiders at AFCX hold 44%, which exceeds the 41% at smartstock.com.

Somewhere along the line I filled out a Web questionnaire for AFCX, and I received a ball cap in the mail with the AFC logo the other day as second prize. This has nothing to do with the stock, of course, but I had to tell someone. My wife has heard it enough, and she doesn't care.

Guess we'll hang on till February for the report. The technicals look good and traditionally the January quarters are stronger than the others.
