11/28/98 - Gold plunked into Salvation Army kettles

CHICAGO, Nov. 28 (UPI S) _ For the 17th year in a row, a generous donor has dropped gold coins into Salvation Army kettles in the Chicago area. Salvation Army officials say (Saturday) two $50 Liberty Gold coins and a Gold British Sovereign coin worth about $290 were plunked into kettles by an anonymous philanthropist.
