Mirc stands for Internet Relay Chat. It is a free software program available for download over the internet. Mirc allows you to open a window that allows you to talk to people in real time. Mirc is the most popular chat software on the internet accounting for 90% of all chat.

Once you have downloaded the software and installed it you must then connect.To connect double click on the mirc icon that you have created by installing the software. Now you will see a box which requires you to fill in your full name(don't put your real name), email, and nicknames.

Now you will be allowed to connect to a server. Select an Othernet Server from the pull down menu and the click on "connect to server".

Once on the server you then must type in the name of the channel which is:

#The_Final_Frontier

Once you have typed the channel name click on "join". Now you should see a window with chat taking place. Your there!
