Since Furby mania is likened to Internet Mania, presenting GRIN here, if you don't mind.
Many are expecting Grand Toys International [GRIN] to rocket on Monday based on info from the following links and articles:
What Is A Furby? Furbies are plush animatronic toys that have been hailed as the most advanced toyin the world for around $30. They have a resemblance of Gizmo, from the movie Gremlins. It also looks kind of like an owl. There are a variety of colors of Furbies to choose from. Each Furby has it's own name and personality. What Can It Do? Furbies are a revolutionary toy because they react with the world around them ontheir own. Each Furby can move, talk, hear, see (light and dark, they can't actuallysee, per say), feel, and communicate with other Furbies. If you placed 2 Furbies together they will talk, laugh, or catch a cold from one of them. If one Furby iscrying, the other will sing to cheer it up. Furbies can play a multitude of games, from hide and seek, to simon says. They can sleep, and best of all, they never die. Each Furby can speak 100 words in its native tongue, Furbish, and another 100 inEnglish. These words can from 1000+ phrases. Who Invented It? Dave Hampton, a former Mattel programmer, is credited with inventing the toy we know as Furby. He decided to design a new type of virtual pet after seeing the success of Tamagotchis and Giga Pets. However, he did not want a little 2D animated keychain pet, he wanted a totally interactive 3D toy that could talk, move, and learn. Later, after he built a prototype Furby, he went out looking for a company to sell it to. He found Tiger Electronics, now a division of Hasbro, and the rest is history. GRIN is the exclusive Furby distributor/Canada.

Then Wall Street began to notice:
U.S. Equity Movers: Amgen, Finova, Grand Toys, Modis , Final New York, Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- .... Grand Toys International Inc. (GRIN) rose 4 9/16, or 152 percent, to 7 9/16. The Canadian toy distributor rose on investor enthusiasm for the holiday sales prospects of the Furby, an electronic fur ball that kisses and throws tantrums, for which it has the exclusive Canadian distribution rights, said analyst David Leibowitz at Burnham Securities, who doesn't publish his rating on the stock. ''One suspects that looking at the stock's trading activity there could be other good news afoot,'' he said, without elaborating.

Future craze? Could Grand Toys International be planning to sell Furbys via the internet? Website under construction: grand.com
In my opinion, this toy will be popular well into 99 and beyond. It is so innovative that it will change the face of toys to come. I like Grand Toys' financial profile, especially at these prices. Add in their piece of the FURBY pie and it looks like a winner.
