i-NUT. u-NUT? Internet mania and profit/loss opportunities.

Suresh:
I do not believe Quote.com is showing after hour trades,it is more like out of sequence trades or trades executed during market hours getting posted after the market.I don't follow after hour trades as they often don't mean anything with rare exceptions. There used to be one site I occasionally visit but it seems to be temporarily out of commission.

Are you planning to get in to NAVR? I intend to trade some and may even keep a few overnight depending of course on tomorrow's trend. If one is not averse to risk and has time to follow the market closely during market hours I think there is a rare (even once in life time)opportunity to make some chump change (or lose it).It is a risky proposition but if discretion with caution is exercised the reward could be quite handsome for the following reasons,in my opinion of course.

1)Tremendous upward momentum.

2)Thin float coupled with overwhelming demand.

3)1st tier internet companies are doing quite well but since the price is quite high the demand is being shifted to 2nd and 3rd tier companies some of which have only been 'discovered' during the past day or two.

4)Even skeptics (mostly analysts, research organizations and biz rags) are beginning believe that there may be some substance to these I-Nut companies. Forrester Research for one is predicting that internet commerce will reach some $3.2 trillion dollars in 5 years,$13 billion
in e-Commerce estimated for this year alone.

5)Tomorrow Clinton and Gore will meet with some of the e-Commerce industry leaders tomorrow in the White House to promote and facilitate e-Commerce,a huge plus for tomorrow.

etc etc etc...

Like everything else this euphoria may be a transient phenomenon (or may be not) but those who can play the game with agility will profit quite handsomely, however if the participant is less than focused he/she would suffer nasty consequences.

I have made over 100% return in a day or less in some of my trades last Wed and Fri and I do realize I could lose all that profit and then some if not careful and nimble but then again I am no stranger to risk taking and not afraid to lose money if it comes to that.<g>

Here is an interesting article on what to expect from the market in the coming days.

Best of luck and be very careful if you decide to indulge in i-Nut equities.

...and Oh wish me luck willya? 'Coz 'papa needs some news shoes' as the saying goes.
