Check out the news on CYTC this weekend. First CBS market watch has an article on CYTC that is headlined "Thin Prep is SIGNIFICANTLY better test". Second is Online Investor is featuring CYTC again. It is one of the featured stocks that went out to subscribers today-Sunday. In looking over this stock it appears that the only ones who dont like the test are the ones worried about cost. I have seen no data to suggest that the test is any less effective than traditional Pap. Can anyone confirm this? In addition, I would not allow any other test to be performed on a family member with the current clinical evidence. Can anyone address the cost issue associated with the Thin Prep vs regular Pap? I have seen that it is only $15-20 more expensive. What if CYTC was to cut the cost by say $5-$7. Would this increase acceptance and reduce margins but the volume would more than make up for reduced price? I have seen info that states margins are 75-80%. Can anyone let us know the cost structure and if this has already been discussed. Just let me know which post to read. Thanks in advance, Mike
