Jon: Sure will...think about it. When Motorola put up the Iridium system the handwriting is on the wall. This system will certainly change the tele system, you will be able to link up with the sat. anywhere in the world...transmit your data/voice etc. etc. adsl will the technology that will accomplish such. I predict that the phone system will be replaced by your computer. Hand held devices will be used in the field (away from home). In fact...we have the technology today to place an antenna in your auto to link up with iridium. The phone companies know what lies ahead....and will have to meet the challenge or go out of business. I expect that there will be alot of consolidation within the network industry and only three at most will be around. 3com and Motorola have been going "steady" for awhile and it would not surprise me the least to see them becoming "engaged" in some form. I have my money on the networks, Iridium, computers, antenna sectors and of course....Airtouch, Nextlink, etc. -Hal-
