>>I think the risk exceeds the gain for entry into new internet stock positions after the gap up tomorrow.<<

Amigo it was very interesting reading some of the threads on SI over the weekend. Don't know if the frenzy is at it's peak yet or not, but one should exercise extreme caution when playing the internuts at this point. Several things to think about,

1. Come Monday the big players are back.

2. Normally the little guy/gal are late to the party. I don't see how many more (especially judging from comments on SI) people are left that aren't already looking for internet stocks. To catch that high flier and make hoards of money that the others have already made. VERY RARELY DOES THE LITTLE GUY BEAT THE BIG GUY.

3. All rational has been thrown out the window. The bad ones are going up right along with the good ones.

4. Like you I believe that the leaders must pace the sector. It always takes awhile for the small ones to get on the train but once the train stops, normally the small ones suffer the most. Just look at the Dow or Nasdaq vs. the Russell. When the Dow and the Nasdaq fell in July, look what happened to the Russell. It is still trying to catch up and is still a long way off of it's highs while the Dow and Nasdaq are close or over. If the big ones start to wavier, I believe that people will not be taking the profits and putting them in smaller internut stocks. At least not the big money. They will be looking for the next hot sector.

5. The market has been on a tear lately. It would not suprise me to see a little retracement. When the market has taken a step back, don't the internuts decline steeper because of the euphoric pe's they were carrying? I didn't go back and check but it sure seemed like they did.

There have been some good internet stocks discussed here on this thread. Most have experienced some price appreciation that they deserved. Some more than they deserved. <g> To avoid being caught on the short end of the stick, as of tomorrow, I will only be playing the internut stocks with 25% of the profit that I have made from them.
I will probably have to work a few more years than some of you <g>, but I would rather lock in 75% of my profits. If they continue up, I will be happy with the profits from my 25% invested profits. If they don't I will have 75% of the profits to use on the next hot sector.

Most of you are more experienced and wiser investors than I so I am sure that you will do great. I hope all make an obscene amount of money in the next few weeks.
