Hi folks,
I want to revisit the question of whether ADI is a takeover target, something which has been mentioned on this thread before.

A summary of insider trading activity ( biz.yahoo.com ) shows an abrupt end to any transactions as of July 98, cf. several transactions per month for the preceding year. This suggests that something is in the works. Are there any circumstances besides a buyout which would result in such a sudden cessation of insider trading? The threat of a shareholder suit, for example? Also, suppose that ADI is a takeover target; how does the company's share repurchase plan, announced in October, fit into this equation?

And here's an easy one: are earning due before, during, or after the market on Wednesday?

Thanks,
MM
